Good afternoon, Rocket families!
This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.
It is hard to believe that it is May already, and there are only 3 weeks left in this school year! Please remind students to finish strong! There are many events coming up this month, including many field trips, so be sure to check the Google calendar on our website for all events. If you have specific questions, please reach out to your child’s building. On Monday, 5th grade will be going to the Columbus Zoo. There is also an elementary night at the Marion Public Library. On Tuesday, the 2nd graders will go to the Eco Center, and the Harry Alexander Music Festival will take place at Elgin. The 4th graders go to the Ohio Historical Society on Wednesday. On Thursday, 8th grade science goes to Cedar Point, field day takes place for grades 3-5, and jr. high and high school track compete at Hardin Northern. The jr. high quiz bowl team will compete at Tiffin on Friday. In addition, field day will take place for grades K-2. Don’t forget that Friday is also the annual Ridgedale on Display from 5-8pm in the jr/sr high school gym. You will not want to miss the display of work from students in all grade levels! This is always a great time! On Saturday, jr. high and high school track finals will take place at Hardin Northern.
