This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.
Let’s spend another week showing gratitude! Here are some ideas for this week! You could tell someone all of the reasons you appreciate them, give someone a compliment, smile at a stranger, call someone to let them know you miss them, and make someone laugh. Don’t forget that there is no school this Wednesday, November 22 through Friday, November 24, due to Thanksgiving break. Reminder that there will be no POWER hours this week! We hope you can spend time with all of those who mean the most to you!
Even though it is a short school week, we have plenty of events to keep you engaged and supporting our Rockets! The jr. high girls’ basketball scrimmage at home on Monday. On Tuesday, the high school boys’ basketball will scrimmage at home while the high school girls’ basketball will scrimmage at Grandview Heights. On Friday, we will have our Meet the Team night at 5pm followed by the alumni basketball game. There will be a spaghetti dinner starting at 5:30pm for $10 per person. Come hungry, and enjoy the night!

Is your 8th through 11th grade child interested in traveling to our nation's capital? If so, please consider registering them for the 2024 Washington D.C. trip! If you are looking for a part-time job that provides flexibility and allows you to make a difference in our community, consider becoming a substitute in our schools! You can join our team as a substitute aide, teacher, cafeteria worker, custodian, secretary, and/or bus driver. Please fill out an application on our website.
