This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.
Don’t forget there is no school tomorrow, Monday, February 19, in honor of Presidents’ Day.
If you are not following along with our social media, you should be! We have students doing amazing things all the time from FFA speech competitions to athletic competitions to quiz bowl and musical endeavors! We are so proud of the commitment our students have to so many events and activities! Congratulations to our 8th grade boys’ basketball team as they won the NWCC championship on Saturday! And, congratulations to our students who participated in the honors band at Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday! Good luck to the boys’ and girls’ bowling teams who will compete at districts on Tuesday in Columbus. Our high school boys’ basketball team will play at Buckeye Central on Tuesday. The girls’ high school basketball team plays their first tournament game on Wednesday at home. On Friday, the high school boys' basketball team will take on Elgin at Elgin. Join us on Saturday as we host the sectional boys’ wrestling tournament starting at 10am, but come early to support our high school baseball team as they host their community breakfast from 8-11am. All proceeds support the baseball program! We appreciate our community showing up to support our students!
Plan ahead for these upcoming events. On Monday, February 26, our elementary will be hosting their second library night at Marion Public Library starting at 5:30pm. All juniors will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, February 27. This includes our students at Tri Rivers. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Burris. The musical production of Guys and Dolls is coming up as well! You will not want to miss this performance! You will have three opportunities to see the show on March 1-3! Check out our website for all of the details! Parent/Teacher Conferences are just around the corner! They will take place from 11am-7pm on Monday, March 4, so there will be no school for students, as well as Wednesday, March 6, from 4-6:30pm. Look for communication from each building regarding sign up details. We hope you take this opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers to continue to build our partnership for their success!
