Good afternoon, Rocket families!

This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility. At Ridgedale, we are leading the way in making 21st century learning a reality for all students. Our Portrait of a Graduate/Learner will become a collective vision that articulates our shared aspirations for every student. Through this process, we will look at the skills and mindsets that our children need for success in this rapidly changing and complex world; the hopes, aspirations, and dreams that our community has for our young people; and the implications for the learning experiences we provide in our school systems. We are still in need of your help with this process. If you have not filled out our survey to share the competencies you feel are most important for our students, please use the link on the website or click on this LINK in the email version of this message.

If you have a student athlete in grades 7-12 who are participating in track, softball, or baseball, there is a mandatory OHSAA parent/guardian meeting starting at 6pm in the jr/sr high school cafeteria with individual sports meetings following. The end of the 3rd quarter is this Friday, March 15. Remember you can check your child’s grades at any time using PowerSchool. Please plan ahead for our spring break, which is March 28-April 1.

We encourage you to follow our LiveFeed on our website as well as social media to watch all of the phenomenal work being done! You can also find events on our Google Calendar on our website.

We are still hiring! Consider becoming a substitute in our schools! You can join our team as a substitute aide, teacher, cafeteria worker, custodian, secretary, and/or bus driver. Please fill out an application on our website, and email me to set up an interview.

Thank you for all you do for our students, our staff, and our community! Make it a great week, and Go, Rockets!
