Weekly Update 3-31-24

Good afternoon, Rocket families!

This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.

Don’t forget that there is no school tomorrow, Monday, April 1, as we are on Spring Break. On Monday, high school track will compete at home against USV and Waynesfield Goshen, high school softball and baseball will play Elgin at home, and junior high baseball will play at Lincoln Park. We will welcome students back on Tuesday, April 2, and the elementary book fair kicks off! Junior high track will compete at USV, high school softball and baseball will play at Ridgemont, and junior high softball will play at Lincoln Park on Tuesday as well. On Wednesday, junior high baseball competes at Lincoln Park. Our Kindergarten Expo is also on Wednesday from 4-6:30pm. If you have a child who will be starting kindergarten in the 2024-25 school year, be sure to join us on this date! In addition, if you have a child who is eligible for preschool next year, you can sign them up by finding the application on our website. Please contact the elementary school with any questions about preschool or kindergarten. On Thursday, the 2nd and 3rd graders will perform in their spring musical. In addition, high school softball and baseball will compete at Riverdale. Friday, junior high track will compete at home for the Friday Night Lights Track Invite, high school baseball will play Arcadia at home, and junior high softball and baseball will play at Lincoln Park. The Dave Schorr Track Invitational is on Saturday, and the high school softball team will travel to Hardin Northern to play. The FFA Banquet will take place on Sunday. Don’t forget there is no school on Monday, April 8 as it is a planned professional development day.

We encourage you to follow our LiveFeed on our website as well as social media to watch all of the amazing work being done! You can also find events on the Google Calendar on our website.

We are hiring! We have full time positions for an intervention specialist, a foreign language teacher, an integrated science teacher, and a school nurse. Or, consider becoming a substitute in our schools! You can join our team as a substitute aide, teacher, cafeteria worker, custodian, secretary, and/or bus driver. Please fill out an application on our website, and email me to set up an interview.

Thank you for all you do for our students, our staff, and our community! Make it a great week, and Go, Rockets!
