Weekly Update 4-21-24

Good afternoon, Rocket families!

This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.

We have another busy week! On Monday, jr. high softball plays at Lincoln Park, and varsity softball and baseball play at Cory Rawson. There is Ohio State Testing on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please check the Google calendar for specifics each of these days. You can support your child by making sure they get plenty of rest, eat breakfast at home or school, and have their chromebook charged on each testing day. On Tuesday, jr. high softball will play at Lincoln Park, high school track will compete at River Valley, and varsity softball and baseball will play at home against Waynesfield Goshen. Jr. high softball will play at Lincoln Park, and jr. high track will compete at the Marion County Meet at River Valley on Wednesday. On Thursday, jr. high track will compete at Fairbanks, and jr. high softball and baseball will play at Lincoln Park. Jr. high students can attend the jr. high dance on Thursday from 3-5pm. The National Honor Society County Recognition will take place at River Valley, and there is a Tri Rivers acceptance night on Thursday as well. High school track will compete at the Elgin Relays, and jr. high baseball will play at Lincoln Park on Friday. All of our seniors will be participating in a community service day on Friday. We are grateful for the work they will be doing around our campus! On Saturday, jr. high softball and baseball will play at Lincoln Park, and varsity softball and baseball will play Wynford at home.

We encourage you to follow our LiveFeed on our website as well as social media to watch all of the amazing work being done! You can also find events on the Google Calendar on our website.

We are hiring! We have full time teaching positions for an intervention specialist, a foreign language teacher, and an integrated science teacher. Or, consider becoming a substitute in our schools! You can join our team as a substitute aide, teacher, cafeteria worker, custodian, secretary, and/or bus driver. Please fill out an application on our website, and we will contact you to set up the next steps.

Thank you for all you do for our students, our staff, and our community! Make it a great week, and Go, Rockets!
