Hello, Rocket Families!🚀
This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools. With our weekly communication, not only will we remind you of special events going on throughout the current week and upcoming weeks, but we will also take time to highlight specific ways that we are living our mission of empowering students to reach their full potential through our cornerstones of learning, safety, community partnerships, and fiscal responsibility.
This week, I would like to celebrate the power of connection that we are able to use to empower our students. On Fridays, you will see high school athletes welcoming elementary students in the building out front! What a great way to utilize our small campus to connect our students in a big way!
📢Our transition to ParentSquare seems to be transitioning well. It provides families the flexibility to decide when they want to receive communication as you can decide to receive it immediately when it is sent out or in a daily digest format. Please keep in mind that certain calls for emergencies and delays will be pushed directly through texts, phone calls, and/or emails as soon as they are created.
✅We have many events this week that will allow you to stay connected to the school. Not only can you find events on the district Google calendar on our website, you can also find them on the calendar in your ParentSquare app.
📌There is no school today, Monday, September 1, in honor of Labor Day.
⛳ 🏐🏃♀️On Tuesday, high school golf is at home against Elgin, jr. high and high school cross country teams compete at Fairbanks, and jr. high volleyball plays Elgin at home.
⛳🏐🥁On Thursday, jr. high golf is at home against Wellington, high school volleyball is at Elgin, and the band performs in the Marion Popcorn Festival parade.
⛳🏈On Friday, high school golf competes against Harding, and high school football plays at Ridgemont.
🏃♀️🏐On Saturday, jr. high and high school cross country teams compete at the Seneca East Night Invite, and high school volleyball takes on Upper Sandusky at home.
