This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools. As we continue to highlight specific ways that we are living our mission of empowering students to reach their full potential through our cornerstones of learning, safety, community partnerships, and fiscal responsibility, I would like to focus on our Career Technical Education pathway of agriculture. Our ag program is our longest standing CTE pathway here at Ridgedale. It offers students hands-on opportunities to learn about not only plants and animals, but also soft skills and career connections. As part of this CTE pathway, students are able to join Future Farmers of America (FFA). FFA is much more than agriculture and farming…it fosters leadership, promotes personal growth, and prepares students for success in future careers as students gain skills in communication, teamwork, and public speaking. This year, we added Ag courses for middle school students as well. 🚜🌽
✅We have many events this week that will allow you to stay connected to the school. Not only can you find events on the district Google calendar on our website, you can also find them on the calendar in your ParentSquare app.

⛳On Sunday, jr. high golf is at Miamisburg.
⛳🏐On Monday, high school boys’ golf is at Temple Christian, high school girls' golf is at Mechanicsburg, jr. high volleyball is at Lima Perry, and our Board of Education meeting is at Tri Rivers.
🏃♀️On Tuesday, jr. high and high school cross country host the Ridgedale Invite, and there is a Washington DC trip parent meeting for students interested in this trip.
⛳🏐On Wednesday, high school golf is at the sectional tournament, and jr. high volleyball is at Upper Sandusky.
📸🏐🏈On Thursday, the elementary has picture day, high school volleyball is at USV, and jr. high football is at home.
🏈On Friday, high school football is at home against USV.
🏐🏃♀️🌸🎶On Saturday, JV volleyball is at home for a tri match, jr. high and high school cross country is at Lancaster, the RES PTO Mum pick up takes place, and the band is at a festival at North Union.
