This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools. December is here, and the year is moving quickly! ⭐December 19 marks the end of Quarter 2, which means we will be halfway through the school year. This is a great time to check your child’s grades on PowerSchool. Remember, you can view grades and assignments at any time throughout the year, and we encourage you to do this regularly so you can celebrate successes and address any concerns early.
🏆Staying up-to-date with your child’s progress helps ensure they are on track academically and provides an opportunity to reach out to teachers if you have questions. Consistent monitoring and communication make a big difference in student success!
📝Jr/sr high school students will be taking midterms on December 18 and 19. Please look for upcoming communication about the schedule, expectations, and any adjustments for those days.

🎁🎁Throughout this week, the Holiday Shoppe will be set up in the elementary. Look for details on that from Mrs. Bricely.🎁🎁
🏀On Monday, jr. high boys’ basketball plays at Perry, jr. high girls’ basketball plays at home against Perry, and high school boys’ basketball plays at East Knox.
🎳🎶On Tuesday, high school bowling competes at Cooper’s against Shelby. The 1st and 2nd graders perform for the holiday program at 6:30pm.
🎁🎯On Wednesday, the elementary fall fundraiser pick up will take place. Additionally, students in grades 6-12 who are interested in target clay sports should attend an informational meeting at 6pm in the jr/sr high cafeteria.
🎳On Thursday, high school bowling competes at Cooper’s against Harding, and high school girls’ basketball plays Elgin at home.
🚀🤼🏀On Friday, we will hold our December Fueled Up Friday filled with exciting opportunities for our students! Jr. high wrestling competes at Bucyrus, and high school basketball takes on Perry at home.
🤼🏀On Saturday, high school wrestling competes at Elgin, and high school girls’ basketball plays at Wellington.
❄️Plan ahead! Students will be on winter break starting Monday, December 22, 2025, through Monday, January 5, 2026. We will welcome students back for the new year on Tuesday, January 6, 2026!
