Good Afternoon, Rocket Families!🚀
This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential through our cornerstones of learning, safety, community partnerships, and fiscal responsibility.
📚This week, the elementary is celebrating Right to Read Week. This is a great time to remind families of ways to support literacy at home. We encourage families to do the following:
Read together daily. Even 10–15 minutes makes a difference!
Ask questions about the story and make connections to real life.
Encourage simple writing like journals, lists, or notes.
Play word games and tell stories together.
Read recipes, directions, signs, or menus to build real-world skills.
Let your child see you reading. Modeling matters!
Small, consistent moments at home help build strong, confident readers. 📚
✅The pre-school application window opened on February 1 and closes on May 1. Applications can be found on the district website or call Ms. Outcalt.
