This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential through our cornerstones of learning, safety, community partnerships, and fiscal responsibility.
As we begin the transition from winter to spring activities, this week offers us a valuable moment to pause and reflect. Even in a quieter season, one thing remains clear…it is truly a great time to be a Rocket!
🎉This winter, our students demonstrated excellence, determination, and character in countless ways. Our athletic teams found success in bowling, basketball, and wrestling, representing Ridgedale with pride and perseverance. Beyond athletics, our students shined in FFA competitions, the Rotary 4-Way Speech Contest, musical performances, and science quiz bowls, which showcased not only talent, but leadership, discipline, and a commitment to growth.
These accomplishments reflect more than wins and awards. They represent students who are striving toward their potential, supported by dedicated staff, families, and a community that believes in them. That partnership is what brings our mission to life each day.
We are incredibly proud of our students and deeply grateful for the continued support of our entire Ridgedale community. The momentum we’ve built this winter sets the stage for an exciting spring ahead.
✅Parent-Teacher Conferences are this week and next week. If you have not scheduled conferences for your child, please be sure to do so right away. There will be no school this Thursday, March 12, as conferences will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Additional conference times will be available after school on Wednesday, March 18, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m.
✅Please also note that there is no school this Friday, March 13, as our staff will be participating in professional development.
✅The pre-school application window opened on February 1 and closes on May 1. Applications can be found on the district website or call Ms. Outcalt.
✅Mark your calendars for Kindergarten Expo on Thursday, March 19. Please call Ms. Outcalt to schedule your time. All information is also on our website. All families are invited to stop into the Spring Book Fair Family Night as well.
