This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential through our cornerstones of learning, safety, community partnerships, and fiscal responsibility.
This week, we will take a moment to focus on our cornerstone of safety. Creating a safe environment goes beyond physical security; it also means ensuring every student has access to the support they need to be successful.
We are proud to offer a variety of resources to support our students and families, including access to a school counselor, home-to-school liaison, and social worker. These team members play an important role in supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally, while also helping connect families with additional resources when needed.
In addition, our School Resource Officer is on campus each day, building positive relationships with students and staff while helping maintain a safe and secure learning environment. This daily presence allows our students to see law enforcement as a trusted and supportive partner.
As a reminder, students, families, and community members can report safety concerns through the 844-SaferOH tip line. Tips can be submitted by calling 844-723-3764 or by using the link available on our district website. This resource is intended for reporting concerns such as threats of violence, bullying or harassment, suspicious activity, weapons, self-harm concerns, or any situation where a student may need help or intervention and can be accessed 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

⚾🏀On Monday, high school baseball has a scrimmage at Plymouth, and jr. high and high school girls’ basketball banquet will take place.
🥎On Tuesday, high school softball plays at Jonathon Alder.
🥎On Wednesday, high school softball plays at Crestline.
🎉On Friday, we have our Fueled Up Friday where students will be engaged in a variety of activities related to career pathways, PBIS celebrations, and more!
🥎🥎On Saturday, high school softball plays a double header at Northmor.
🌸Mark your calendars for Spring Break! Students will not have school April 2 through April 7. They will return to school on April 8.
